Miyah Turgeon
Miyah serves as a Coach/Mentor at Echo Springs alongside continuing her studies at Weber State. She brings to her role 12+ years of experience in this field ranging from Special Ed Preschool to adult life-coaching and mentorship.
Miyah loves that her work requires her to do something different every day while making lasting connections and making a positive impact in the lives of others.

Dan Phillips
At Echo Springs Dan serves as Clinical Director providing personalized therapeutic guidance for each student along with their family. Dan utilizes activities in nature and one-on-one outings throughout the greater Ogden area as means of connecting with students and challenging them to break through barriers restricting personal growth and feelings of self-worth.
Sessions are just as likely to take place while fly fishing, mountain biking, or in a traditional sit down therapy session. In this manner, Dan meets students' therapeutic needs in a manner that is comfortable, impactful, exposure based, and relational
Chris Ferrairo, M.S.
Chris holds national accreditation with ASHA (American Speech and Language Pathologist Association) and has over 20 years of experience, with a diverse range of work settings including; residential, hospital and home care.
Chris enjoys working with young adults and collaborating with team members to support and optimize communication skills; helping them advance with personal, social, academic and professional experiences.
Colton Daugherty
Colton serves as Student Advisor at Echo Springs. He has over 10 years of experience in this field having worked in residential homes for adults with disabilities and a RTC that specialized in teens on the autism spectrum.
He grew up in Utah, just 40 mins outside of Ogden.
He joined Echo Springs in 2021, and he enjoys seeing our students learn about themselves and growing in confidence.
Emily Phillips
Emily serves Echo Springs students in the admission process by understanding the multi-faceted challenges young adults face and how to authentically connect and support students’ unique interests. Emily invests a great deal of time identifying what students are ultimately looking for, and helping them decide if the program offers the support and opportunities they seek and need.
Emily maintains the integrity and culture of Echo Springs by accepting students that match the kind, empathetic nature of our group, tracking students progress, and following through with their vision.
Karen Christensen MD
Dr. Karen Christensen is a board-certified Child, Adolescent and General Psychiatrist with over 25 years of experience treating patients of all ages for developmental and emotional problems. She maintains a small private practice in Ogden. After retiring from Weber Human Services community mental health center in 2019, she worked as a sub-investigator doing clinical research trials with Focus Research Center in South Ogden.
Dr. Christensen attended medical school, general psychiatry residency and child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship at the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque.
Demi Thatcher
At Echo Springs Demi serves as Student Advisor. Born and raised in Utah, she has lived in Ogden for the last 10 years. She has worked with adolescents as a youth mentor for 5 years prior to joining Echo Springs.
Demi grew up in an outdoorsy family, and she is passionate about activities such as climbing, snowboarding, fly fishing, camping and backpacking.
Sydney George
Sydney was born and raised in Utah and loves the beautiful scenery and opportunities it provides. Her passions include relationships with people and mental health awareness. She is currently studying psychology/social work with the goal to become a licensed therapist.

She has enjoyed working with the adolescents at her church for 3 years so far, and has been part of the Echo Springs staff since 2022. She enjoys getting to know each of the students in the program and hearing their passions and dreams.
Dave Warton
Dave serves as the Director of Recreation here at Echo Springs.
Dave has lived in Ogden for 10 years after relocating from Philadelphia in pursuit of more outdoor opportunities.
Along with a passion and enthusiasm for recreation, Dave brings seven years experience working as a lead supervisor with youth who struggle with depression, anxiety, OCD, and ASD.
